Ingredients

Directions

The centercut pork cut doesn’t require much skill to cook it in the skillet, but you can play with the garnish, if you want to surprise others. Try Brussel sprouts to enhance the overall flavor with its unique nuances. But be careful, it’s easy to overcook that vegetable, therefore it should remain almost the same color when it was raw.

Steps

1
Done

Get all the components to make your cooking experiments faster. Blanch the Brussels sprouts, wash the meat and trim the fat from your pork rib chops.

2
Done

Use the mortar to grind your black pepper, it doesn't need to be extremely fine, as you only need to open up the aroma.

3
Done

Take the meat mallet to make your chops tender. Hit the both sides of your pork cuts to break up the fibers of muscles. If you don't have such a kitchen tool, you may do it simply using the back of the knife for that purpose. Sure, it's more challenging, but now you know the way.

4
Done

Sprinkle some black pepper and salt over one side of your pork chop.

5
Done

Preheat one tablespoon of sunflower oil before transferring the meat (the seasoned side down) into your skillet with medium-high heat. Usually it takes about 2-3 minutes for the first side of your chop to become golden brown. Don't forget to sprinkle more black pepper and salt over the top side

6
Done

Flip your meat to fry the second side, it will also take a few minutes. There shouldn't be any pink juices for the well done steak.

7
Done

Continue cooking each pork until they are done. Keep them warm before serving.

8
Done

Peel the garlic head, then slice the cloves. Don't try to get them too thin, it isn't recommended for frying, this way they may burn easily.

9
Done

Add the rest two tablespoons of sunflower oil. Pour the blanched Brussels sprouts into the skillet.

10
Done

Season your Brussels sprouts with black pepper and salt. Don't forget to mix it to prevent burning.

11
Done

After a couple of minutes, add the sliced garlic to your sprouts.

12
Done

A few minutes more - and your vegetables are ready to serve.

13
Done

Assemble the meat and vegetables on the plate before serving. Enjoy with a glass of wine!
