Sometimes we want something delicious, especially on the weekend. But we haven’t enough time and desire to spend all the day in the kitchen. For days like these you can try to cook this recipe of fast chocolate cake. This recipe is high-calorie but you won’t it this cake too much because it is so substantial. This cake is beautiful and has an interesting look: first layer is dark, the second one is white and so on. The main interesting thing is that you can cook two variants of cream: custard and sour cream. This recipe is so easy and don’t need to spend a lot of money on ingredients. You can cook this cake for your family, for evening tea drinking and for guests. Taste is so light, soft and delicate. It isn’t luscious that is why it is perfect for those who love chocolate cakes without excess  sweetness. As a result you have a cake with succulent, soft and light biscuit layers. You shouldn’t have any special skills for cooking because dough and both types of cream are so easy. Try to cook this chocolate cake for your guests and be sure they will like it. Moreover, you can modify it and try to add nuts, dried fruits or fresh fruits. Don’t be afraid of experiments because it helps to improve any recipe. Enjoy your dessert!



Start cooking our cake with all ingredients. So, for the dough you will need 300 grams of kefir, one glass of sugar, two eggs, two tablespoons of sunflower or olive oil, three tablespoons of cocoa, one teaspoon of baking soda and two glasses of wholegrain flour (use any you want). And also you have two variants of cream: custard and sour cream. For sour cream: one glass of sugar, 400 grams of sour cream, 200 grams of butter. For custard: two eggs, 300 grams of sugar, two tablespoons, 400 grams of milk, one packet of vanilla sugar, 200 grams of butter and cookies. You can use any cookies you like but the best if you choose shortbread, sweet cracker or oatmeal cookies.


Start with dough. Cooking dough for this chocolate cake is so fast and easy. You will need two deep bowls. For the first, prepare wet part of the dough. Take one deep bowl and whisk two eggs, sunflower or olive oil and kefir. Whisk it good, do it by mixer or whisk.


Now mix all dry ingredients: flour, sugar, baking soda and cocoa. Stir it good, colour of this dry consistence must be uniform.


Pour wet ingredients to the dry.


Stir good all the ingredients together. You will have a uniform brown consistence. Now it is time to heat the oven to 175-200 degrees. Prepare baking dish (round or square) and pour all dough. Don't forget to use parchment paper, smear it with butter and sprinkle with flour. It helps to avoid sticking. Bake biscuit for 40-50 minutes on the temperature 175-180 degrees. During baking don't open the oven because it can provoke a fall of volume of the biscuit.


If you decided to cook the first variant of cream (sour cream), start to cook it. Take 200 grams of butter and melt it in the microwave. If you don't have microwave do it on the water bath. Mix butter with 400 grams of sour cream and sugar. Whisk good this mixture with whisk or mixer. Cream is done. You can smear shortcakes right now.


In case if you have chosen the second variant, let's cook it. While our dough is baking in the oven we have enough time to cook this custard. Take 400 grams of milk and bring it to boil. Meanwhile whisk two eggs with 300 grams of sugar and add gradually two tablespoons of flour. Don't forget to sift the flour because it gets saturated with oxygen.


Pour eggs and flour to boiling milk and stir it all time until it gets dense. Then reduce the fire and add vanilla sugar. If you use vanillin, add one little pinch. Keep stirring.


The consistence of cream reminds dense sour cream. Now put it into the fridge for 30 minutes.


Then melt 30 grams of butter in the microwave and pour to the cream, mix all together. Now put it into the fridge for 30 minutes. Cream should be thick, there can be little lumps.


Our biscuit is done. Let it cool down and then slice it lengthwise into 3 shortcakes. You can use thread or just sharp knife.


Now after 30 minutes our cream is ready. Smear each shortcake with it.


Now take cookies and crumble up to create something like crisp. You can do it in blender, also you may take a potato masher and crumple up cookies with it. Sprinkle it on the top of the cake and put for 2-3 hours to the fridge. You can eat it right now but the cake won't be so succulent. It will get saturated and taste will be much better.


So, our fast chocolate cake is done, time to make tea of coffee and try this incredibly delicious cake. All process of cooking took for about an hour, but preparation took only 10 minutes. Fast, cheap and tasty! All shortcakes are succulent and soft, cream is so delicious. If you want to make this chocolate dessert less sweet add less sugar or use brown sugar. Enjoy this dessert!
