Easy Homemade Cinnamon Rolls Without Yeast
Cinnamon rolls without yeast can taste as great as regular ones, just try this egg-free version.
It’s expected that only yeasted dough may provide the right texture and taste to any rolls or buns. However, that’s a kind of myth. You may perfectly get the easy homemade cinnamon rolls without yeast with a dough based on the combination of soda and yogurt.
Measure all the components to make your further work more efficient. Preheat the oven to 180°C (360°F).
Don't forget to sort the raisins before soaking them for some time in warm water.
In a large bowl, combine all-purpose flour with soda.
Now add your salt to add some contrast to the overall taste.
Grab the part of sugar for dough (185 g) and add it to the rest of dry ingredients.
Add the sunflower oil and mix until you get crumbs.
Slowly stir in your plain yogurt, mix thoughtfully, as your dough shouldn't be sticky at all.
Leave it to rest for 5-10 minutes.
Cut the dough into 2 or 3 parts.
Carefully mix the cinnamon powder with sugar, do it slowly, because powders tend to go aloft.
Drain your raisins and stir them into the spices.
Mix the stuffing thoroughly.
Oil your work surface and get the dough slightly covered with oil. Roll it, but don't try to make your dough too thin. Otherwise, your working process may get much harder and the most part of cinnamon stuffing may simply fall out.
Sprinkle your rolled dough with sugar.
Spread the cinnamon stuffing with raisins over the dough.
Carefully wrap the stuffing with your dough.
Cut the roll into 1.5-2 cm slices. You may slightly flatten them.
Distribute the half of your cinnamon rolls on the baking sheet. Transfer to the oven at 180 degrees and let them get golden in 25-30 minutes. Repeat with the second part.
Use the rack to cool them before applying the glaze.
Combine the components for the glaze and bring it to the boil, the glaze should become thick as heavy cream. Cover the cinnamon rolls while the glaze is still warm.
Grab some black coffee and enjoy your unleavened pastry!
